Men who had low/moderate fitness along with overweight ( n = 361) were recruited to the postcampaign study in 2014. Data were analyzed with nonparametric tests, logistic regression analysis, and content analysis. The postcampaign survey was completed by 102 men. Personality traits and unemployment: Evidence from longitudinal data
2012
This study contributes to the literature on how personality is related to labour market success by providing evidence on the relationship between personality traits and unemployment. After accounting for reverse causality and measurement error, our results suggest that higher openness was associated with increased cumulative unemployment at the prime working age. It seems that this connection occurs because individuals with higher openness enter into unemployment spells more frequently – not because their unemployment spells would be particularly long. peerReviewed

2021

Using Latent Profile Analysis Mild, sharply reducing depression (9%), Mild, reducing depression (58%) and Severe, reducing depression (33%) profiles were established, using Beck Depression Inventory scores gathered at pre-intervention, post-intervention, and follow-up points. At the pre-intervention point, being in full-time work was related to the Mild, sharply reducing depression profile. Being on a disability pension, having a history of one's own or a c…

Aineisto oli osa Jyväskylän yliopiston Terveyden edistämisen tutkimuskeskuksen ja LIKES-tutkimuskeskuksen yhteistyössä toteuttamaa ”Sisältääkö suomalaisen miehen liikunnan terveyden lukutaito tajua ja toimintaa?” -tutkimusta (2008–2009). Aineisto kerättiin kolmelta paikkakunnalta terveyskäyttäytymiskyselyillä, Polar OwnIndex-kuntomittauksilla ja Inbody 720-kehon koostumusmittauksilla. Tutkimukseen osallistui vuoden 2009 keväällä 104 työikäistä miestä. Tilastollisissa analyyseissa käytettiin ristiintaulukointeja ja…

Yksinäisten työikäisten vuorovaikutussuhteet
2018
Tämän systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen tavoitteena on jäsentää, mitä tiedetään yksinäisten työikäisten vuorovaikutussuhteista. Työikäisillä tarkoitetaan tässä alle 65-vuotiaita aikuisia. Katsaus kohdistuu työikäisten yksinäisyyttä koskevaan viestinnän ja lähitieteiden tutkimukseen vuosilta 2006–2017. Viimeaikainen työikäisten yksinäisyyden tutkimus on kohdistunut yksinäiste…
